Abstract
430,353. Vehicle bodies. TATRAWERKE AUTOMOBIL-UND WAGGONBAU AKT.-GES., 200, Kartouzska, Smichov, Prague. Dec. 13, 1933, No. 35120. Convention date, Jan. 16. [Class 108 (i)] In order to obtain roomy seating accommodation a streamlined vehicle is constructed so that, as seen in plan, its sides run straight and more or less parallel or are curved to a slight degree, that its cross section is substantially square or rectangular and that the vehicle is limited fore and aft by edges running transverse to the direction of motion while, as seen in side elevation, it is formed like an aeroplane wing in cross section. In a closed car an upper structure B is added having a similar aeroplane wing form to the main structure A, the boundary line 2 sweeping down to the rear or stopping short behind the rear seats. The wheels may be housed wholly or partly within the contour of the body and covered by cover plates or housings 4<a>, 5<a>. The car may have the engine at the rear, access being had thereto by a trap door 7 while a similar trap door 8 at the front gives access to a luggage and tyre carrier. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also a form of lower and upper structures A, B which depart somewhat from the aeroplane plane wing form as shown in Fig. 3 (Cancelled). This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
