830,321. Vehicle windscreens. DAIMLERBENZ A. G. April 15, 1958 [April 20, 1957], No. 12003/58. Class 20(3) An open motor car, such as a two-seater, is rendered suitable for participating in sports events by an arrangement of three different interchangeable windscreens each equipped with similar holding members 3 for securing them to the body 4 of the car. One windscreen 7 is low, for use in sports events with a passenger, and is arranged on a superstructure part 8 which may have a scoop 12 arranged over a fresh air intake 6 in the body 4. A second windscreen, which is also low and arranged on a superstructure part, is for use in sports events without a passenger and extends only in front of the driver's seat, a covering being attached to the superstructure part for closing the opening in the body above the passenger's seat. A third windscreen is of normal width and height for use in traffic and has a surrounding frame but is not mounted on a superstructure part.
