Abstract

[Classes 103 (ii) and 108 (i).] Seat backs, arrangement of.-A road vehicle is convertible from a four-seater to a twoseater by covering the rear seat space by a cover which also comprises the seat back of the rear seat. The seat back having the usual upholstery 15 is provided with side ,wings which are linked to the body sides by links 19, 20 so that it may swing up from the position shown in Fig. 3 to that shown in Fig. 4, wherein the seat back forms a cover 14 which conforms to the line of the vehicle, as shown in Fig. 1. To lower the cover to form a seat back the cover is first moved slightly, then the rear edge is moved downwardly, and its front edge rearwardly.
