[Class 78 (ii)] [See also Group XI] In an electric battery lamp in which the lamp casing is detachable from the battery casing for use in signalling, the flexible conductor 27 is wound on a spring drum 31 in the lamp casing 17, one lead being connected to an insulated spring contact 40 and the other with the bulb-holder 19<a>. A key 35 normally engages one of a series of spring-tongues 38 for locking the drum and is released by pressing inwardly a spring-pressed spindle 36 by means of a push button 37.
