Abstract
439,415. Signals carried by road users. FRAKO, KONDENSATOREN-UND APPARATEBAU GES., Teningen, Baden, and NIETZELDT, W., 16, Schinkestrasse, Berlin, both in Germany. March 5, 1934, No. 6896. [Class 118 (ii)] A signal for attachment to the wrist or hand of a road user comprises a lamp arrangement embodying a switch operated by stretching a finger or the like and a main switch for breaking the circuit when the apparatus is not required for use. As shown in Fig. 2 when the main switch 5 is closed the battery 4 and lamp 3 are connected in circuit with the contact 6 so that when the lever 6 is moved the circuit is completed and the lamp 3 is lit. As shown in Fig. 5, the switch 6 of Fig. 2 is replaced by the normally closed switch 11 which is opened when the finger is bent. The casing in both embodiments is in the form of a wrist watch and the light is arranged to shine through the face.
