[Class 12 (iii)] [See also Group XVIII] The admission of lubricant or other liquids under pressure to the pipe g first moves piston c and afterwards pistons c<1>1, c<1>2, these forcing lubricant from the spaces a1, a2, along the pipes d1, d2. When the pressure in the pipe g is reduced the spring r returns the piston c and then the springs r1, r2 force lubricant through passages t1, t2, f1, f2, to the discharge sides of the pistons c<1>1, c<1>2. The quantity of lubricant discharged by any outlet can be adjusted by placing in it a piston of suitable length.
