446,475. Feeding - appliances for animals. LECHEVALIER, J. E., 9, Avenue MarÚchal Joffre, Bolbec, Seine-InfÚrieure, France. Oct. 15, 1935, No. 28401. Convention date, Oct. 15, 1934. [Class 5 (ii)] Apparatus for feeding animals comprises a hopper 6 mounted in an oscillatory manner over a trough 12 with the mouth 7 of the hopper in proximity to the bottom of the trough, in combination with another hopper 13 of large capacity mounted above the hopper 6, distributing means, such as a chambered cylinder 15 being provided between the hoppers so that the amount of food delivered to the lower hopper can be regulated. The cylinder 15 can be rotated to deliver the contents of one chamber to the hopper 6 by means of a pawl lever 17. The hopper 6 is carried by a shaft 5 mounted in the ends of levers 4<1> which are adjustably mounted to vary the height of the bottom of the hopper 6 above the trough. The sides 10<1>, 10<2> of the trough are adjustable, to enable the width to be varied to suit the size of the animals.
