Class 5 (2) In a poultry or like feeding appliance, the outlet 3 of a V-shaped food hopper 2 is provided with a cylindrical drum 4 having a longitudinal V-shaped groove which registers with the outlet of the hopper and forms a pocket for a measured quantity of food. On rotating the drum in either direction by a handle (not shown), the supply of food is delivered to either of the feeding troughs 15, the periphery of the drum sealing the hopper outlet during the transfer. To agitate the food in the hopper, side plates 9, with stamped-up projections, are reciprocated longitudinally of the hopper walls by a handle operated from outside the hopper. Removable stays 18 are provided for the troughs 15 and perches 19 for the birds.
