Abstract

446,434. Reservoir brushes. PEARCE, F. T., 939, Wimborne Road, Moordown, Bournemouth. Dec. 10, 1934, No. 32396. [Class 19] A shaving brush or the like is provided with a hollow handle 4 in which fits a refill or cream container 9. The refill has a movable false bottom 13. A spring 14 situated between the cap 10 and the false bottom exerts a pressure on the cream. When apertures 12 (only one shown), in the rotatable disc valve 11 are brought into alignment with corresponding apertures in the walls 2a, 4a, cream is forced through the tubes 3 into the bristles 1. Stops and springs are provided to limit the movement of the valve and to close it automatically. In a modification the cup 2 containing the bristles is allowed to rotate and the disc 11 is dispensed with.
