Convention dates, Oct. 20, 1934 and July 10, 1935. [Class 102 (ii)] [See also Group XVII] The walls of tubular containers formed of brittle material such as artificial resin are formed with a series of annular weakening grooves affording between them zones adapted to be readily broken off as the contents arc used up. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the breaking is effected by the conical part 4 of the cap 3 which is screwed into the container after removal of the plug 6, the contents being caused to exude through the orifice. In the form shown in Fig. 3, the delivery orifice is formed at the closed end of the container and the breaking member 30 rests by means of the projection 31 on the cap 3, the threaded ring 14 of which engages threads formed on spaced ridges disposed longitudinally on the body portion. The annular weakening grooves 9 in these containers may be intersected by longitudinal weakenings.
