M., 109, London Road, both in Chelmsford, Essex. Aug. 30, 1934, No. 25025. [Class 40 (v)] Relates to means for vary. ing the degree of reaction in a back-coupled valve with. out affecting the frequency of the oscillations generated The valve is of the variable mu type and reaction is con, trolled by altering the effective grid-bias, and therefore the amplification factor. As shown, the usual reaction-control condenser 3a is fixed instead of variable, and the desired effect is produced by moving the tapping point 11 along a grid-bias potentiometer 12. The tapping 11 is connected to the grid through a high-frequency choke 10.
