444,581. Cutting - dies. UNITED SHOE MACHINERY CORPORATION, Paterson, New Jersey, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Haumont, E. ; Paris) Sept. 21, 1934, No. 27143. Convention date, Sept. 22, 1933. [Class 31 (i)] A double - edged cutting - die for cutting shoe part blanks comprises two oppositely disposed blades conforming to the outline of the blank and each having a flange, the blades being secured by plates which clamp the blades together with their flanges in mutual engagement; in a modification a single ribbonlike blade may be used. The blades 10, with cutting edges 16 are secured by core plates 20 which engage flanges 18 on the blades and are clamped by bolts 28. Stab members 32, for producing gauge marks, are also secured between the plates.
