Screw propellers.-In metal air screws or propellers of the kind having hollow blades comprising an outer sheath provided with internal laminations, the outer sheath a and laminations b, c for each half blade are cut out and welded together at the edges and then pressed together between dies to the required curvature, preferably after being raised to about 850‹ C. The half blades are secured together in the usual way, preferably by welding together at the edges. The dies are stepped to agree with the laminations.
