443,787. Glossing fabrics. BRITISH CELANESE, Ltd., 22, Hanover Square, London, and MELLOR, A., and MANN, R. J., c/o British Celanese, Ltd., Spondon, near Derby. Sept. 5, 1934, No. 25544. [Class 42 (i)] Fabrics compris ing organic deriva tives of cellulose are glossed by pass ing them while substantially free from conditioning moisture between a heated driven stee bowl 1 and a compressible bowl 2 driven at a lower speed. An endless woollen blanket 3 may pass between the bowls. In some cases, a three-bowl calender is employed, the middle bowl being of steel while the lower bowl carries the endless blanket.
