443,342. Photographic cameras ; finders. DECKEL, F., 7, Waakirchnerstrasse, Munich, Germany. Aug. 7, 1935, No. 22329. [Class 98 (i)] The objective lens anc the view - finder lens of a photographic camera art coupled together for focus ing adjustment and the focusing gear members are associated with lenses so that each lens may be removed and a lens of different focal length sub stituted. Screw threads 6 7 on the mounts of the finder lens 3 and the ob jective lens 4 respectively engage in threaded flanges 5, 8 in the panel 2. A ring 9 mounted in a circular flange on the panel 2 has teeth 10 engaging a gear wheel 11 fixed to the mount of the finder lens. The inside of the ring 9 has two or more grooves 12 into which engage teeth 13 on a ring 14 secured to the objective lens. Grooves 15 in the ring 8 allow the teeth 13 to pass to permit withdrawal of the objective lens for substitution of another lens with similar gear members fixed thereto. Rotation of a milled ring 17 is transmitted through the wheel 11 and ring 9 to the objective lens 4. The alternative lens of longer focus has a screw thread 7 of coarser pitch.
