Abstract

517,498. View-finders. KODAK, Ltd. Oct. 7, 1938, No. 29094. Convention date, Oct. 8, 1937. [Class 97 (i)] A view-finder system comprises a collective eyepiece, 1 and a negative objective 2 having at least one surface made aspherical to give an image free from distortion. The condition to be fulfilled is that for a particular position of the eye. Tan v/Tan u = Constant, v and u being the inclinations to the axis of a ray before and after passage through the objective. Data are given of curvatures to satisfy this condition. Specification 457,138 is referred to.
