Abstract
443,042. Pile fabrics. SOC. ANON. ETABLISSEMENTS MOTTE-BOSSUT FILS, 58, Boulevard Gambetta, Roubaix, France. Oct. 2, 1934, No. 28160. Convention date, Oct. 27, 1933. [Class 142 (iv)] Several pieces of fancy velvet are produced simultaneously by weaving pile or covering threads 3, 4, into a main fabric T<2> at l, and into one or more supplementary fabrics T <1> at s, cutting the threads on the surface of the supplementary fabric, and separating the fabrics as shown in Fig. 3, the threads bound into the main fabric being drawn through the fabric T<2>. The method is shown applied to weft pile velvet, but may be applied to warp pile fabrics woven with wires and also to double piece weft pile or velvet. As shown in Figs. 6 and 7 it may be applied to double piece warp pile velvet, wherein the pile threads c interweaving with the main fabrics T\ T<2> also interweave with one or more supplementary fabrics T<3>, so that three or more pile fabrics P<1>, P<2>, P<3> result after the pile threads are cut.
