Abstract

441,117. Delivering liquids by gas pressure. TAILLEFERRE, H. E., 93, Rue Jouffroy, Paris. April 10, 1934, No. 10790. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Oct. 11, 1934]. [Class 102 (ii)] A system of distributing volatile liquids, e.g. petrol, consists in the use of compressed inert gas in a closed cycle. Two brands of petrol are stored in reservoirs 17, 17<1>, which are filled through pipes 19, 19<1>, and the liquid passes through pipes 15, 15' to intermediate containers 14, 14<1>, when the pressure in the latter is reduced. The liquid is forced by gas under pressure from the containers 14, 14<1> to distributers D, D', D<2> on the three floors of a garage, through pipes 20-22, 20<1>-21<1>, on operation of the corresponding valves 23-25. The inert gas is circulated in a closed circuit, being withdrawn through pipes 30-32 to a purifier E and forced into a reservoir 9 by means of an injector 4, through which liquid is circulated by a pump 1. Liquid in the pipes is allowed to return to the containers through pipes 26 on operation of valves 12.
