Abstract
441,075. Jet impact pulverizers. ANGER, P., 59a, Beseler Allee, Kiel, Germany. July 12, 1934, No. 20456. Convention date, Aug. 1, 1933. [Class 59] In a jet pulverizer the impact member 3 is covered by a hood 6<1> provided with a discharge pipe 7 for the air and dust mixture, the hood forming with a casing 11 an annular passage through which the raw materials can be fed from the top of the hood to the jet nozzle 2. The lower part of the hood may be formed with annular rings 12, and vanes 4 deflect the crushed material with a whirling motion into the hood. When hot air is used, heavy particles of the crushed material which fall between the rings 12 dry some of the uncrushed material on its way to the nozzle. An outlet 13 may feed coal &c. direct to a furnace and an outlet 14 may be furnished to collect tramp iron &c. A cone 5 over the nozzle prevents access thereto of the material when the air jet is interrupted and the nozzle lowered.
