Abstract
An electromagnet for use with a cathode-ray tube is constructed of material with high permeability and low hysteresis and eddy current losses; the magnetic material may be an alloy of aluminium, iron, and nickel, or of nickel, iron, and copper. The composition of the alloys may be as follows:-40 parts of nickel, 60 of iron, and 8-10 of copper, or 36 parts of nickel, 54 of iron, and up to 10 of copper.
