Alloys for permanent magnets consist of aluminium with two or all of the metals iron, nickel, and cobalt in proportions corresponding exactly to any of the following molecular formul : AlFeNiCo; AlFeCo2; AlCoNi2; AlFeNi2; AlCoFe2; AlNiCo2; AlNiFe2. British Specifications 392,661 and 423,897 and U.S.A. Specification 1,989,551 are referred to.
