Abstract

440,633. Fold-engaging files. INTROLIGATORNIA ZDZISLAW SZAFRANEK, and SZAFRANEK, Z., 26, Koszykowa, Warsaw. Aug. 28, 1935, No. 24094. [Class 146 (i)] In a binder for periodicals, pamphlets, folded sheets, or the like, comprising a base clamping-member 2, an upper clamping- member 4, and fold-engaging bars 5, the base clamping-member 2 is immovably or hingedly connected to a back member 1, secured to the cover back 12, and the upper clamping-member 4 and bars 5 have openings to receive ports 3 mounted on the member 2. The member 4 is provided with set-screws 11 to secure it on the posts 3. A sliding member with a sleevelike projection may be provided on the member 1 to engage and support the free ends of the posts 3. To engage the folds of stitched sheets the bars 5 may be longitudinally recessed on one edge. Covers 13 are hinged to the back 12.
