Abstract
235,017. Palmer, H. C., and Upton, J. B. June 30, 1924. Post files; covers.-Relates to temporary binders of the kind described in Specifications 220,108 and 220,267, in which the binding edge of each catalogue, sheet, &c. e, Fig. 1, is furnished with open angular notches d adapted to engage fixed bearing-pins c on the back frame a of the binder. The sides of the back frame a are rounded and inturned, and the inturned portions a<2>, Fig. 3, are formed with apertures to receive the ends of the bearing-pins c. The pins are formed with reduced or shouldered ends containing cup-shaped recesses, so that, when the inturned portions a<2> are forced against the sides of the frame a by means of a vice, as shown in Fig. 4, the ends of the pins c are expanded to form rivet-heads, by which the pins are fixed in position.
