Abstract

202,430. Wolf, R. S. May 24, 1922. Flexible -band files; covers.-A file for loose leaves F, Fig. 3, is constructed by attaching a two-pronged staple A, Fig. 1, to a cover E in such a manner that one of the prongs B serves as a filing-post for the leaves, and the other is situated outside the space reserved for the leaves and serves to align them. The staple is provided with two short prongs C by which it is attached to the cover, and these prongs when bent down abut against the prongs B and serve to support them. The prongs B may be used to hold the two covers together, in which case the staple is situated at the outer corner of one cover, and holes, which may be eyeletted, are provided in the other cover, the prongs being passed through the holes and bent over. A strong sheet of cardboard may be placed on the filing-prong B to support the sheets &c. when the file is stood in an upright position.
