Abstract

440,512. Vehicle opening-tops. BISHOP, W. H., 48, Moor Street, Birmingham. Oct. 5, 1934, No. 28500. [Class 108 (i)] In vehicles having closable roof apertures and constructed of sheet metal pressings the side pressings are formed with integral inwardly extending stepped flanges of such section as to form guides for a sliding panel or a water-check channel. As shown the side pressings a are integrally constructed with a flange b, a horizontal and vertical portion forming a channel and if desired, a returned edge portion c. The end pressings f may have similar formations or they may comprise strips d welded to the pressings f. The meeting positions of the side and end formations may be mitred and welded.
