Abstract
440,301. Electric radiators. HILL, L. G., 6, Gloucester Terrace, Thorpe Bay, and HYDRELEX ELECTRICAL UTILITIES, Ltd., Works Road, Garratt Lane, Wands. worth, London. March 6, 1935, No. 7003. [Class 39 (iii)] A resistance wire operating at a low temperature is supported between and spaced from insulating panels 1, 17, furnished at the edges with strips 12, 13 of insulating material to prevent accidental contact with the wire, the parts being proportioned so that air passing between the panels is raised in temperature by 150-200‹ F. The wire is supported by hooks on spaced insulating strips 2 secured to the rear panel by screws 3 engaging spacers 4, secured to the strips 2. Spacers 10 on rear panel space the indicator from the wall on which it is mounted. Porous material for receiving a scent or disinfectant may be arranged between the panels above the heating element. Metal clips grip the flexible supply lead where it passes from the apparatus. A switch 9 is mounted on the front panel.
