Motor Car and Railway Carriage & Wagon Builders ; 200, Kartouzska, Smichov, Prague) June 22, 1934, No. 18459. [Classes 79 (iii) and 79 (iv)] A driving - unit arrangement for motor vehicles comprises an auxiliary frame 1 upon which the engine 4, change speed gear 6 and final drive gear 5, as well as the cooling means or other elements as desired, are mounted on rubber or other cushioning pads, the frame itself being connected to the main frame 10, 12 by a cushioned three-point suspension, e.g. by means of pivots 9 with flexible intermediate layers and a resilient connection at the end 11. Springs 13 supporting floating half-axles 5<a> may be secured to parts 1<a> projecting from the frame 1. Other forms of springing may be employed. The frame 1 may comprise a box- or trough-like pressed member. The elements 4, 5, 6 are connected by flexible joints 7-8. Specifications 427,891, 430,977, and 434,122 are referred to.
