Abstract

An insecticide comprises sulphur dioxide and a hygroscopic substance such as glycerine dissolved in water or animal oil or a mixture of these. The proportion of sulphur dioxide does not exceed 2 1/2 per cent. When both water and oil are present an emulsifying agent is added. The preparation is suitable for spraying on fruit trees.
