Abstract
439,822. Batteries. TACHIHARA, Y., 699, Otamayamaye-sagaru Higashiiru Sokokujimonzen-cho, Karasumaru-dori, Kamikyo-ku, Kyoto, Japan.-(Assignee of Nihon Denchi Kabushiki Kaisha; 159, Shinmachidori Imadegawaagaru Higashiiru Konoeden- Omotecho, Kamikyo-ku, Kyoto, Japan) June 15, 1934, No. 17814. Convention date, Aug. 9, 1933. [Class 53] In order to reduce the time occupied in the forming process, storage battery plates containing litharge are first immersed in a solution of persulphuric acid or a persulphate. Alternatively the plates may be partly formed and then placed in the persulphate solution for a few hours after which the forming process is continued. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 states that the treatment with persulphuric acid or a persulphate may be applied to plates containing pulverized lead suboxide, red lead or metallic lead and not necessarily containing litharge. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
