439,302. Spectacle lenses. CULVER, E., 42, Coolhurst Road, Crouch End, and EMERSON, A. H., 24, Wentworth Park, Finchley, both in London. June 27, 1934, No. 19049. [Class 97 (i)] A high power lens is provided with at least three fields of vision of substantially equal focal power. For instance a negative lens may be produced by grinding three hollows 2, 3, and 4 of the same curvature in a lens blank. A positive lens may be obtained by filling in the hollows with an insert of glass of a higher refractive index. A reading portion may be provided on the lens either by the addition of an insert or by grinding a suitable surface on the lens. Specification 327,752, [Class 97 (i)], is referred to.
