439,185. Containers for surgical dressings &c. TAYLOR, Ltd., E., and GREENHALGH, W., Monton Fields Road, Monton, Eccles, Lancashire. May 31, 1934, No. 16200. [Class 18] A container for surgical dressings, &c. comprises a base al and a cap c each moulded or pressed in one piece from a synthetic resin, vulcanite, or like material, the base being provided with an integral upstanding core or rod b carrying a bobbin or around which the dressing is wound and also a surrounding shoulder or flange a<2> against which the cap makes an airtight joint. The rod b may be solid or hollow and its upper end may be flanged and slightly dished. The cap is a friction fit or screws on to the base which may be hollow, and the cap and the flange of the base are knurled, milled, &c. to facilitate detachment. The holder may be other than circular in cross section. According to the Provisional Specification, the rod b may screw into the base and the holder can be made of metal.
