Abstract

584,013. Dispensing tape. CORFIELD, R. H. June 21, 1944, No. 11822. [Class 18] A device for dispensing tape, e.g., adhesive and/or medicated tape comprises a lid 2 and a base 1 having a sleeve 9 on which a roll of tape is rotatable and a slot 11 contiguous to a slot 12 in the lid through which the tape emerges. A dished plate 15 is hinged to the lower part of the container and has a part 17 adapted when the plate is swung upwardly to engage the top of the container to fasten it. The tape passes over a bead 13 and is severed at an edge 18, the free end of the tape remaining covered by the plate 15. In a modification the plate 15 pivots about a vertical axis.
