June 27, 1934, No. 18903. [Class 38 (v)] [See also Group XXXVIII] The heat-sensitive contact device of a fire-alarm system comprises a tiltable mercury switch 4 normally retained ir its inoperative position against the pressure of a spring 6 by a fusible pin 8. The switch has an apertured cover which may be secured to the base by a bayonet socket connection.
