Abstract

<PICT:0408536/III/1> A device for giving an indication in case either of fire or of the presence of gas in the vicinity of the device, comprises a base c on which are mounted pairs of spring arms g, g<1> carrying contacts h, h<1> and l, l<1> arranged in suitable alarm p circuits. The spring arms tend to bring the pairs of contacts together, but they are held apart respectively by insulated blocks i, k. The block i is adapted to melt in case of fire, and the block k to decompose in the presence of gas. The elements are protected by a perforated cover.
