436,038. Lubricating vehicle - wheel bearings. MORRIS, Ltd., R., and MAXWELL, N. R., Atlas Works, King Street, Farnworth, near Bolton. Sept. 26, 1934, No. 27597. [Classes 12 (i) and 12 (ii)] A wheel bearing for a light railway vehicle comprises a bush b, in the wheel boss, provided with one or more annular grooves e interconnecting closed ended longitudinal grooves d and supplied with grease through a hole m in the axle. Grease is supplied through a nipple h in a plug g to a chamber f in the boss. The plug g acts as a thrust bearing for the axle and is grooved at k for lubricant.
