Abstract

1277222 Endless-track vehicles TRACTOR. TECNIC KULENKAMPFF & CO WERK GEVELSBERG 24 Sept 1969 [18 June 1969] 47033/69 Heading B7H A roller assembly for an endless-track vehicle comprises a roller 1 formed by two circular drop forgings welded together, an axle 12 on which the roller 1 is mounted by plain bearings 2, a lubricating aperture 6 for lubricating the bearings 2, and axle mountings 14 detachably connected to the ends of the axle 12, the axle 12 having a substantially uniform diameter and the roller 1 being axially located on the axle 12 by sliding sealing rings 10, 11 interposed between the axle mountings 14 and the end faces of the roller 1. The lubricating aperture 6 communicates through a lubricant space 5 with grooves 26 in the axle 12. The sealing rings are accommodated in grooves 4, 16 in the roller 1 and mountings 14 and are loaded by resilient rings 9. Flattened portions 23 on the axle 12 extend in the same plane as one face 22 of fixing lugs 20 on the axle mountings 14.
