Axle-caps.-The outer end of each hollow rear axle shaft A of a motor vehicle, through which oil or grease is injected to the differential gears D. is closed by a plug screwed into the hub cap C. On removal of the plug, lubricant is injected by a syringe B which has a threaded nipple d screwing into the plug hole and bedding against a fibre washer d<1> in the end of the shaft.
