Abstract

213,987. Thomas, W. Jan. 11, 1923. Vehicle-axle bearings.-A bearing comprising a frame 1 shaped to receive a half bush 3 and having recesses or holes 4 for two retaining bolts 5 which are parallel to the axle and carry a keep 11, is characterized in that the retaining bolts 5 are positioned one on each side of the bush 3 so that the keep 11, which is substantially semicircular in shape, can be turned about one bolt to a position clear of the axle when freed from the other bolt. The bush 3 has end flanges 9 shaped at 10 and 13 to correspond with the bolt heads and keep 11 respectively.
