Abstract

Concentrated aqueous preparations of follicle hormone for injection or oral administration are obtained by dissolving the hormone in aqueous resorcinol solutions. The solutions may be sterilized without decomposition. Other phenols such as tricresol or guaiacol may be added to the resorcinol solution to increase its capacity to dissolve the hormone.
