433,428. Mounting posts in sockets. FUCHS, F., Wabern, near Berne, Switzerland. Feb. 11, 1935, No. 4355. Convention date, Feb. 15, 1934. [Class 45] [See also Group X] A wooden pole or post 4 is mounted in a rot-resisting filling 7 in a protecting sleeve or socket which extends both above and below the ground level and is formed in two or more parts 5, 5<1> interengaging by means of beads or tongues 8 and grooves 9. The sleeve may be of earthenware, e.g. brick. In a modification, Fig. 3, (not shown), two posts are similarly mounted in an elongated sleeve comprising two straight and two curved interengaging parts.
