433,375. Beer engines. MURRAY, T. S. S., and MURRAY, F. L. S., 42, Lower Road, Rotherhithe, London. Feb. 9, 1934, No. 4318. [Class 102 (i)] The cylinder 1 of a beer engine is provided with a jacket 2, through which cooling or heating medium is circulated. As shown, one end cover of the cylinder of an existing beer engine is replaced by a jacketed extension 1<a>. The jackets of several engines are arranged in series. The invention may be used in combination with the means for cooling beer barrels described in Specification 398,042, [Group XIII], the jackets of the cylinders being supplied from the circuit which supplies the barrel coolers.
