Abstract

433,102. Cartons &c. for cheeses &c. FROMAGERIES BEL SOC-ANON., Lons-le- Saunier, Jura, France. Sept. 15, 1934, No. 26575. Convention date, Aug. 16. [Class 18] A packing for alimentary &c. products and made of cardboard &c., especially for holding three cakes of cheese &c. out of contact with each other, is in the form of a right triangular prism folded from a blank comprising a medical band 1, 9, 10, 11, 12, 20 having two lateral extensions, each extension comprising folding lines disposed so as to constitute two opposite triangles 1, 4, 8 ; 5, 6, 7 and 20, 17, 13 ; 16, 15, 14, the bases 4, 8 ; 5, 7 and 17, 13 ; 16, 14 of which are united by rectangular areas such that by double folding the ends a<1>, a<2> of the lateral extensions form dividing partitions in the packing. In a modification the lateral extension may be positioned on the portion 8, 12<1> of the medial band and the packing may be closed by a tongue and slot connection. In further modifications the portion 9<1>, 12 may be prolonged and slotted and small portions of the areas 5, 6, 7 ; 16, 15, 14 may be cut away for more easy closing. The folded packing may be adhesively retained in erect position. A lozenge-shaped box 26, with a cover 28 and bottom, may contain two such prismatic packings disposed with bases opposed.
