Abstract

432,923. Implements for working land. MACKINTOSH, J., and MACKINTOSH, H. H., Angus Engineering Works, North Street, Forfar, Angus. March 15, 1934, No. 8151. [Class 6 (i)] An implement for ploughing between rows of plants comprises spaced front right-hand and left-hand single ploughs and a rear central double plough carried by a frame provided with front and rear wheels, and means for raising and lowering the front and rear ends of the frame independently of one another. The double plough 3 is clamped on a longitudinal bar frame 4 and the single ploughs 1, 2 are adjustably connected to a cross frame consisting of two angle bars 51 the outer ends of which are supported by flanged bars 6 bolted to the frame 4. The standards 7 of the ploughs 1, 2 are connected to plates adjustably bolted to the cross bars. A coulter may be provided in front of the plough 3. A lever 12 carries a rear wheel or wheels 13 and is adjustable by means of a hand lever 16 and link 14. Front wheels 19 are carried by an axle 18 adjustable by means of a lever arm 20, link 21, and hand-lever 22. The implement is connected to a tractor or vehicle by means of a pivoted lever or bar 24 carrying rollers engaging in slots 28 in guide brackets 27.
