[Class 6 (i)] An implement for use in transplanting cabbage plants &c. comprises a frame or chassis, a channel-shaped furrow-forming share, two inclined wheels for replacing and consolidating the soil in the furrow around the plants after they have been deposited by hand, means for adjusting the share and wheels, and curved plates for moving soil into the furrow immediately the plants have been placed in position. The chassis comprises longitudinal bars 4, 5, transverse bars 6, 7, 8, and coupling members 9, 10. The channel-shaped share 11 has sides which converge inwardly and downwardly and rearwardly. It is pivoted about bolts 12 at its front end and adjustably supported by screwed rods 11<b> and nuts 11<c> at its rear end. The plants are placed in position in the furrow by attendants sitting on one or more seats 15. Soil is immediately placed around their roots by curved blades 13 preferably pivoted about the bolts 12. The inclined wheels 14 are mounted at some distance behind the share 11 on an axle 16 bent upwardly towards the middle. The wheels are adjustable along the axle 16 and the latter may be turned in its bearings to adjust the inclination of the wheels to bring the rear parts of their peripheries nearer together or wider apart than the front parts. The axle 16 is adjusted by means of an eye-bolt 20 and nuts 22 engaging a bracket 21.
