Abstract
432,239. Sound - insulating slabs. OELSNER & CO., W., 5, Rosenborggade, Copenhagen. June 4, 1934, No. 16620. Convention date, Oct. 10, 1933. [Class 87 (i)] [See also Groups XIII and VIII] A sound-insulating sheet or slab comprising superimposed layers of metal gauze, netting or expanded metal, 1, 4, 4<1>, each layer being of different width of meshes, thickness and specific gravity, has at least one layer coated or filled up with a plastic bituminous substance 2, and the layers spaced apart by a felted material 3. The latter may be replaced by a layer of asbestos fibres, slag wool, metal or wood wool, or seaweed. The metallic insertions may consist of iron, steel, zinc, copper, lead, metal, alloys, or iron coated with lead. The sheets or slabs may be coated with cement mortar, lime, Hessian cloth, or sheet iron. Specifications 220,434, [Class 87 (i)], and 406,829, are referred to.
