Abstract
431,894. Multiple - filament electric lamps. ISMAY & SONS, Ltd., J., Roden Street Works, and ISMAY, J., 10, Warwick Gardens, both in Ilford, Essex. June 22, 1934, No. 18562. [Class 39 (ii)] In a multiple-filament electric lamp of the kind wherein a resilient split ring carrying bayonet pins is rotatably mounted on the lamp cap, and means such as co-operating projections and recesses, are provided on the ring and cap to indicate the position of adjustment to put a required filament in circuit with the holder contacts, the split ring 13 is provided with one or more circumferentially extending strengthening ribs or corrugations 17 which may extend over the whole circumference of the ring and terminate at the opposite edges of the split. The ribs or corrugations may be knurled transversely to facilitate gripping. Specification 427,809 is referred to.
