[Class 52 (iii)] An extensible table comprises a folding draw-out leaf, and optionally a turntable top. The Figure shows a table underframe in plan, and the unfolded leaves in dotted lines. A middle part or board A is attached to cross battens, (not shown), secured to the side battens C of a rectangular underframe supported by the legs D. Above this board A are two leaves H, H<1> which may be folded, the leaf H<1> over the leaf H, and then turned on a vertical pivot in the board A until they register with and cover exactly the underframe. At each end of the table are draw leaves J, J <1> hinged together at j. They are supported by hinged bars K.. K<3> which are withdrawable from the underframe. To stow them away, the flap J' is folded over the flap J, and the parts K, K<2>, L are moved into line with the parts K<1>, K<2>, L, which are then pushed back into the underframe ; inclines on these parts enable the flaps to drop sufficiently to pass beneath the leaf H. The cross-bar K<8> connecting the parts K, K<2> passes into a space bounded by the bar N.
