431,272. Tables. KOVATS, J., 80, Cherry Street, Bridgeport, Connecticut, U.S.A. Jan. 13, 1934, No. 1324. [Class 52 (iii)] [See also Group XXV] A folding table has legs which have toggle means detaining them in both folded and unfolded position. Figs. 3 and 4 show a corner of a card table the legs 10 of which fold perimetrically within the frame 11. Each leg 10 is secured in a trough-like plate 13. On this is a barrel 14 fitted over a pivotpin 15 in a bracket 16 fitted in the angle of the corner and stiffening it. The leg is moved by a pair of toggle-links 17, 18 to each other, to the leg, and to the top by pivots 19, 20, 21, the pivot 21 being on an extension 22 of the bracket 16. A spring 23 holds the toggle in position either extended or folded, in which positions its movements are limited by a stop pin 25 in a slot 26 on the part 18. The extended toggle is broken by an arm 29, which has a part 30 engaging with the part 18. A device for actuating all the legs together comprises four bell-cranks 32 connected by links 35, each of which has a member 36 engaging a pin 37 on the upper end of the toggle link 18.
