[Class 40 (i)] Test measurements are transmitted over power lines by means of the stray flux in transformers having the secondary or low tension winding connected in delta with the transmitter G, the receiver E being similarly connected to the power lines. The centre limb of a three-phase balanced core may have its phase winding connected to a tunable impedance Z. In a single phase system the mid-points of the transformer windings are brought out and connected to earth through impedances. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 385,427, [Group XXXV].
