[Class 44] [See also Group XI] The jaws of a spring clip q, w, on which a ring q carrying an electric lamp is rotatably mounted, are each provided with a rubber press y having two semi-cylindrical pressure surfaces and tiltably carried by a pair of wires z, cranked at the ends to form offset journals zl, so that the presses accommodate themselves to the shape of an article to which the clip is attached and tend to prevent detachment as by an accidental pull on the cable l. The presses are preferably reinforced with cotton or other fibrous material. The arms of the clip are pivoted on a sleeve t, the arm v being fixed by a rod s passing through a hole therein while a slot z<11 >allows movement of the arm w.
